How to position your phone
Mount it so both cameras have a clear view — the rear camera sees the road ahead, the front camera sees you and your mirror checks. A windscreen or dashboard mount at eye level works best. Use the mount check below as your guide, and confirm the framing before every drive.
The top-centre of the screen and the area directly in front of the driver. A mount here blocks your view of the road and is not road-legal.
High up, towards the sides of the windscreen. This gives the rear camera a clean view of the road and the front camera a clear view of you and your mirror checks.
Lower on the screen but still above dashboard level. A solid fallback if a higher mount is not possible — just confirm both cameras still see clearly.
Measured down from the top of the windscreen's swept area — keep your mount within these limits. Both the front (cabin) and rear (road) cameras need a clear line of sight, so wipe the lens and check the framing before every drive.
